The train was the lifeline to the outside world for Collinsville. Here is a photo of a boxcar being unloaded just south of the freight station, now the Crown & Hammer.
The passenger station for the train was kitty-corner to the freight station. It was located in what is now the lower parking lot of the Canton Historical Museum.
This is the back of the passenger station. It was lost in the great flood of 1955.
The freight station survived the 1955 flood. It now adds character to Collinsville as well as good food and drink as the Crown & Hammer Restaurant.
The train trestle to the south of the Crown & Hammer is now part of the scenic Farmington River Trail that passes directly in front of the Crown & Hammer Restaurant.
